It is 11pm.... yes our flight left at 10:30pm..... yes it left without us!
So who knew one needed a visa when transiting in the USA??? Not me, not Chris. We managed to apply online and get them ok, just in time for the 'system' to go down and they offloaded us :O( Air New Zealand were just awful with their customer service, and then tried to tell us we should be grateful they didn't charge us the extra $1,000 each to swap us to a flight that leaves at midnight and goes through Hong Kong. Upsaide is the flight is nearly empty and the lovely check-in staff have given Chris the row with heaps of leg room.
We have now been at the airport for 3 hours and have another 60mins to kill..... I'm off to duty free as there is some lipgloss calling my name.

OMGoodness what a start!!!! Oh well, it all happens when you travel. Just go with the flow, go with the flow.
